Why Retaina exists
I kept hearing the same three words.
Stress. Aging. Normal. Every woman I spoke to who had raised her thinning hair with someone had been handed one of them, and had walked away with nothing to do about it. Not because anyone was careless — because women's hair loss sits in a gap between specialties, and the honest answer takes longer than most appointments allow.
Then I looked at what was actually on the shelf. The best-known product for hair loss was developed and dosed for men, and the version sold to women is largely the same thing in different packaging. The category built for us was the supplement aisle: biotin, collagen, gummies. Things that work if you happen to be deficient, and most women are not.
So: a real problem, real options a clinician can assess, and almost nobody telling women either of those things. That gap is the entire reason Retaina exists.
We are building it in the open, with a priority list of women who have told us what they are dealing with. Several hundred so far. Their answers decide what we launch with — what is included, what it costs, and what we fix first. When we open, they go first.
I would rather tell you what we do not know yet than perform certainty. We are not open. We do not have all of it figured out. What we have is a clear read on who this is for, and an unwillingness to ship the same product in a different colour.
